TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A flight from Tallahassee to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Virginia ended with an evacuation after reports of smoke in the plane's cabin.

In a statement, American Airlines confirmed that flight 5082, a CRJ-200 jet aircraft from Tallahassee, landed at DCA Monday morning around 9:40 a.m. It departed from Tallahassee International Airport around 7:21 a.m. Monday morning.

Once it landed, officials say operators "declared an emergency due to reports of smoke in the cabin."

Passengers were then evacuated while Airports Authorities Fire and Rescue inspected the plane.
