(WTXL) — The National Weather Service issued a Flood Warning for the Withlacoochee, Ochlokonee and Apalachicola Rivers. Minor flooding is forecast.
The warning for the Ochlokonee River is near Thomasville, affecting Thomas and Grady Counties, and near Havana, affecting Leon and Gadsden Counties. NWS also issued a warning for the Ochlokonee River near Bloxham, affecting Wakulla, Leon and Liberty Counties.
The warning for the Withlacoochee River affects Lowndes and Brooks Counties, including Valdosta, Quitman and Pinetta.
NWS issued a warning for the Apalachicola River near Blountstown, affecting Liberty, Calhoun, Gulf and Franklin Counties.
Precautionary, preparedness actions: Turn around don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
