MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 221 in Madison County have been shutdown due to a semi-truck hitting a bridge on I-10.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Highway, the accident happened Tuesday around 10:41 a.m. on U.S. Highway 221 at exit 241.
FHP says a semi-truck carrying large equipment hit the bridge on I-10 and U.S. Highway 221.
At this time, troopers are reporting that the northbound lanes of Highway 221 is closed and all traffic is being diverted to the southbound lanes.
Troopers say there is possible damage to the bridge but I-10 remains open.
There is no report of injuries at this time and FHP is still working the scene.
