LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a 18-year-old boy and a juvenile on multiple DUI related charges.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on US 319 at Dennis Street on Tuesday around 11:34 p.m.

As the trooper activated his emergency equipment, the vehicle began fleeing onto Miccosukee Road.

The driver was later identified as 18-year-old Kelsey Thomas Gorton of Greenville South Carolina.

Shortly after fleeing from troopers, Gorton was successfully apprehended with the assistance of Tallahassee police.

FHP says Gorton was accompanied by a juvenile passenger who was also arrested.

Authorities say a series of charges are being executed including possession of alcohol under 21, DUI, DUI property damage, reckless driving, and interfering with child custody.
