TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a Tallahassee woman was seriously injured in a car crash on U.S. Highway 319 near Cherokee Plantation Road Sunday afternoon.
According to troopers, the 47-year-old woman was driving north on U.S. Highway 319 around 2:45 p.m. when for unknown reasons she left the roadway and hit a guardrail on the left side of the highway.
Then after hitting the left side guardrail, the car bounced off and hit the guardrail on the right side of the highway before coming to rest in the northbound lanes.
The driver was then transported to the hospital with serious injuries, troopers said.
