GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — A 67-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Chattahoochee on Wednesday.
Andrew Crivello, of Sebring, Fla., died from his injuries sustained in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday on I-10 westbound at mile marker 168.
Crivello was traveling on I-10 when he approached a turn and his tires lost traction, causing the vehicle to spin off the roadway. FHP said the roof of the car ultimately hit a tree before landing on its side.
The passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
FHP was assisted on scene by the Florida Department of Transportation, the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden County Fire Rescue, and Gadsden County EMS.
I-10 westbound was shut down for approximately four hours.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on I-10 in Gadsden County.
According to FHP, the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday on I-10 westbound near mile marker 168 in Chattahoochee.
At this time, we don't know if there are any other injuries.
Drivers are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
