JASPER, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say two people are dead after a fatal Monday night crash on I-75 in Jasper.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened Monday around 9:22 p.m. on I-75 Northbound at Mile Marker 454.

Troopers say a 2013 Kia Sorrento, driven by Korey Farley of Sanford, was traveling behind a 2001 Ford F-150, driven by54-year-old Joseph Ledlow of Tifton, on I-75 in Hamilton County when he hit the back of Ledlow's truck.

The impact caused Ledlow to lose control and overturn into the ditch.

FHP says Ledlow and his wife, 64-year-old Jane Ledlow, were both killed in the crash.

Instead of stopping, troopers said Farley left the scene but was later located by troopers at a gas station on State Road 6. After being released from the hospital, Farley was transported and booked into the Columbia County Jail for leaving the scene of crash involving death.

Troopers believe Farley was under the influence of alcohol during the crash, though an investigation is ongoing.
