SUWANNEEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers are investigating after one person was killed during a crash in Suwannee County over the weekend.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Saturday at 6:48 a.m. on I-10 at Mile Marker 291 in Suwannee County.
FHP says the driver was going east on I-10 when they passed over the median and hit a tree.
As result of the crash, a post-collision fire broke out and consumed the vehicle entirely. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
At this time, troopers have not released the victim's name.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the driver to swerve over.
