JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers are investigating after one person was ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Jackson County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Baker Creed Road around 12:43 a.m. on Sunday.

They say Greg Allen Landry, 35, of Archer died from injuries sustained during the accident.

Troopers say Jason Adkins, 44, of Cottondale was driving in a field at a low speed, when his vehicle drove over an embankment and overturned on it's right side.

As the vehicle was overturning, Landry was ejected from the vehicle before it landed in a ditch nearby on Baker Creek Road.

FHP says Landry was transported to Jackson Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Adkins and the four other passengers that were also in the vehicle, all sustained minor injuries from the crash.

Troopers say no one was wearing a seatbelt during the accident.

Florida Highway patrol says the crash is pending investigation.
