HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say a 23-year-old man is dead after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Hamilton County over the weekend.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Saturday around 8 a.m. on State Road 6 in Hamilton County.
FHP says Santiago Bueno Jr was driving just west of I-175 on State Road 6.
For unknown reasons, Bueno's vehicle exited the road.
After leaving the road, Bueno crashed into a culvert which caused the vehicle to become airborne. Troopers say the vehicle then overturned and Bueno was ejected as a result.
The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP says Bueno was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.
Authorities are still investigating to determine if alcohol played a role during the accident.
