TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say one person is suffering from serious injuries after a tractor trailer crash in Taylor County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Wednesday on Fate Wilson Road around 5:55 a.m.
FHP says two tractor trailers were driving on Fate Wilson Road when they crashed into each other.
Troopers say the first trailer crashed into the back of the second trailer. The impact from the crash caused the second trailer to spin out of control and drive off the road.
The second trailer then overturned before finally coming to a complete stop in the grass.
Meanwhile the first trailer, continued traveling north before eventually landing in the grass median on the side of the road.
Troopers say one driver was transported to Doctors Memorial hospital, suffering from serious injuries sustained during the accident.
The other driver left the crash with minor injuries.
Authorities say at this time charges are pending.
