FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say a man is suffering from serious injuries after he was ejected from his vehicle during a crash in Franklin County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on US 319 in Franklin County on Wednesday around 7:30 p.m.

FHP says Brandon Kelly, 24, of Carrabelle was driving eastbound in a Chevy Silverado when he failed to negotiate a left curve and drifted off the road.

While Kelly was trying to get back onto the road he ended up over correcting to the right, which caused the vehicle to rotate in a clockwise direction.

Troopers say the vehicle then overturned and Kelly was ejected from the Chevy. The vehicle overturned about four times before coming to a complete stop on the side of US 319.

FHP said Kelly was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say Kelly was not wearing a seat belt during the crash and is facing a charge for failure to maintain a lane.
