LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say two semi truck drivers were seriously injured during a crash on I-10 eastbound near Mile Marker 195 in Tallahassee.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Wednesday around 4 a.m. on I-10 eastbound at Mile Marker 195.
FHP says a semi tractor trailer was traveling east on I-10 in the center lane approaching Mile Marker 195, while a second tractor trailer was heading the same direction in the outside lane.
For unknown reasons, the driver of the first truck lost control and crashed into the other trailer.
Both drivers then traveled approximately 100 yards down the road before both of the trucks came to final rest facing east blocking the center and outside lanes.
The drivers were identified as Randy Sanderford, 49, of Louisiana and Dilblag Singh, 54, of California.
Troopers say both men were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare with serious injuries.
As a result of the crash, traffic was backed up to Mile Marker 192 and lanes were blocked from exit 192 to 196.
FHP says the crash is now cleared and the lanes have been opened.
