FDOH reports first case of coronavirus in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has reported the first case of coronavirus in Franklin County.

In it's Friday morning update, FDOH confirmed that a 25-year-old woman has tested positive for COVID-19 in the county.

Health officials say the woman is not from Franklin County and recently traveled to New York. FDOH says the woman did not have direct contact with a confirmed case.

So far, 23 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Gadsden County.
