Authorities find body of missing 14-year-old boy from Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Medical Examiner’s Office in Jacksonville says they have recovered the body of 14-year-old Sergio Diego Domingo who had been missing for over a week.

On Wednesday, authorities confirmed that the cause of death was ruled as an accidental drowning.

The investigation comes after a Florida Missing Child Alert was issued for Sergio after he disappeared from Oak Street in Jennings, Florida on May 31.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's office says they are still working to determine specifics as far as how he arrived at the drowning location and why.

Domingo Diego was last seen in the 1100 block of Oak Street in Jennings, Fla.

He is 5'3", 120 lbs, Hispanic, with black hair and brown eyes.

Domingo Diego was last seen wearing blue shorts, a brown shirt and black and white Nike shoes.
