PERRY, Fla. — A Perry man has been arrested after authorities say he repeatedly asked for a teenage girl to strip and send him lewd videos through social media.
Coty Hartsfield, 29, was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The investigation began after FDLE received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Hartsfield was transmitting child pornography through a social media account.
The investigation revealed Hartsfield was communicating through social media with a teenage girl he knew. Through social media chats, Hartsfield repeatedly asked the girl to strip for him and urged her to send lewd photographs and videos.
Hartsfield was arrested Tuesday morning and taken to the Taylor County Jail. He is being charged with online solicitation of a minor for sex acts and transmission of material harmful to minors by electronic device.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the case.
The Office of the State Attorney, 3rd Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.
