JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. — A man has been arrested after being accused of expressing interest in kidnapping a 12-year-old Jefferson County child he sent sexually explicit images/videos to.

FDLE agents traveled to Louisiana to help in the arrest of 24-year-old Christopher Andrew Anderson.

The investigation began in July when the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reached out to FDLE to help with the investigation of a complaint of a 12-year-old child being solicited for nude images online.

Anderson identified himself as a 24-year old man from Louisiana and sent sexually explicit videos/images of himself to the victim, requested the victim send nude pictures, and expressed an interest in kidnapping the victim.

FDLE agents and deputies of JCSO identified the suspect as Anderson, who lived in the town of Norco in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.

FDLE agents obtained an arrest warrant for Anderson and contacted the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office to request assistance with the investigation.

Based on the investigation, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for Anderson’s home. FDLE traveled to Louisiana and assisted the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office in the service of the search warrant, which yielded evidence that indicated Anderson may have solicited images from other children as well.

In addition to being arrested on the charges from Florida, Anderson was also arrested for possession of child pornography by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson was taken to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Jail to face the local charges and await extradition to Florida. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensic exams.

He is facing charges of online solicitation of a minor for sex acts and transmission of material harmful to minors by electronic device.
