LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Liberty County Sheriff's office confirms that one person is dead after a shooting near Torreya State Park.
At approximately 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, deputies said they responded to a call of a shooting near Torreya State Park, north of Bristol.
When they arrived, deputies confirmed that at least one person was killed in the shooting.
"This is a fresh crime scene and is currently under investigation," deputies wrote in a post on Facebook.
The FDLE Crime Scene Unit has been called in to assist with the investigation.
