TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Friday was the President's Annual Toy Drive.

Bikes, basketballs, and fun toys filled the hall of the president's house.

The pandemic making it hard for families to give their children everything they may want.

Dr. Larry Robinson says FAMU's mission will always be to help those who need it.

"With the impacts of COVID-19 on families employment and the ability to provide for young people in this area, we thought that it was more critical than ever to continue this tradition," said Robinson. "And what you see behind us is due to the generosity of faculty, students, and friends of Florida A&M University who understand that just as much as we do."

Due to COVID-19, people dropped off their gifts instead of bringing them inside.

As a gift, ornaments were given for their generosity.
