TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — It's a mixed bag of emotions for Florida State football fans after parting with head football Coach Willie Taggart.

There's no shortage of opinions about when this decision should have been made and how.

ABC 27's Nathan Dean spoke with ESPN Tallahassee Radio to get the story from the Florida State faithful.

It's been the talk of the town on Monday, as well as Sunday.

Jeff Cameron, the host of The Jeff Cameron Show on ESPN Radio here in Tallahassee, is getting an earful from fans. Of course, Taggart didn’t bring the success that fans thought he would.

Some fans are glad to see this change and some are disappointed that they didn't get to see what Taggart could do with more time.

Cameron is helping fans reflect on what this all means for the future.

"Nobody likes to fail at something they like to call a dream job. So I don't revel in others misfortune. I would say that you gotta take a step back and understand that it's an unfortunate set of circumstances for the university, for the program, for the kids, and the coach," said Cameron. "But also hope that it's a dawn of a new day, brighter day and one that in time we will look back and say was the right move."

Cameron also says that fans should hope that whoever replaces Willie Taggart brings along some momentum and gets the Seminoles back to their winning ways.
