LEON COUNTY, Fla. — This mangled mess was the center of conversation earlier Friday morning at Leon High School.

No, students weren't hurt in this crash. It was all a part of a DUI simulation, warning of the dangers of drunk driving.

The goal was to give these high schoolers an up close look at the consequences of drunk driving before they head for spring break vacation next week.

"This is sort of an attention getter, right before spring break, to remind kids to be safe and look after one another during the holiday," said Mark Feely, Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Leon High School. "This is something that's organized by TMH, and it has a lot of local players as far as TPD, Leon County Sheriff's Office, EMS, the fire department. Everybody that responds to the scene of an accident."

The simulation was hosted by Mothers Against Drunk Driving along with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, TPD and Leon County Sheriff's Office.
