WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — There's a happy update for the dog found shot in the neck near a hunting area in Wakulla.
The dog has been sent off to a rescue center where he will hopefully be adopted.
We first told you about 'Hound Boy' earlier this week. He was found shot in the neck and stranded in the woods near the Lawhon Mill Road.
"He actually was touch and go for a while but he made it. He's doing better and he was transported to a new rescue group on Wednesday," said Ivanhoe Carrol, the Wakulla County Animal Services Director. "He's well on his way to finding a new home and a better life. "
WCSO did file a report, but the case is closed.
