GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla.(WTXL) — A man is behind bars on custodial sexual battery charges after deputies say he is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 15 in Gadsden County.
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims concluded a two-month long investigation with the arrest of 60-year-old Terry Leroy Williams.
Williams was arrested on Friday and charged with custodial sexual battery and lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim under age of 15.
At this time no additional information has been released about the charges. We have reached out to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Department and are currently working to get more information about this case.
Florida Statutes Chapter 794 states that sexual battery by a person of familial or custodial authority to a person who is between the ages of 12 and 18 is considered to be a first-degree felony.
