Man arrested in Crawfordville homicide identified

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Wakulla County Sheriff's office has identified the man accused of killing another person in Crawfordville over the weekend.

Chad Westerlund, 35, has been arrested for homicide and child neglect in connection with the homicide that occurred off of King Bee Drive in Crawfordville on Jan. 25

He has had first appearance Monday and is currently being held with no bond in the Wakulla County Jail.

Due to a Marsy's Law request, the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office will not be releasing any information regarding the victim in this case at this time.

The case is still under investigation so deputies say many details cannot be released at this time.

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred over the weekend on King Bee Drive in Crawfordville.

Deputies say the suspect is in custody, however they are not releasing any names at this time.

The homicide remains an open investigation and WCSO will be releasing additional details when they are able to.
