GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office is investigating four different shootings that occurred between Wednesday and Thursday morning.
The first incident happened on Cane Creek Road at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The caller advised that there was a man in their yard attempting to burglarize their vehicle.
The homeowner attempted to scare off the suspect and there were gunshots but there were no injuries and the suspect fled the scene.
GCSO says the second incident was called in at approximately 10:57 p.m that same night.
The incident happened at the Kelly Junior store on the corner of Barack Obama Boulevard and Jefferson Street in Quincy.
Deputies say a victim arrived at the store with a gun shot wound to his shoulder and is currently undergoing surgery.
The victim alleges that he was chased by an unknown vehicle and shot by suspects who fled the scene.
The third incident occurred Wednesday around 11:41 p.m. at 46 Annie Brown Road in Quincy.
Homeowners say that someone came by and shot at their home. There were no injuries and the suspects are unknown at this time.
The last incident happened at the intersection of Greensboro Highway and Garner Road in Greensboro early Thursday morning.
The caller information advised that there were gun shots heard in the area and a vehicle crash.
When officer's arrived on scene they found a passenger deceased as a result of gun shot wounds.
Deputies say the driver was also shot and transported with non-life threading injuries to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are still actively investigating all of the incidents.
It is not known if the incidents are isolated or connected but are pending further investigation.
