TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A 14-year-old boy is facing an adult attempted murder charge after deputies say he and two other boys shot another teen multiple times.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2100 block of Natural Wells Drive in reference to a victim who had been shot on Sunday night.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a male victim with several gunshot wounds to his lower body. The victim was transported to the hospital for medical attention.

LCSO detectives interviewed two witnesses who stated that they were with the victim when he asked them to drive him to an undisclosed location on Natural Wells Drive for a drug deal.

Deputies say once the victim exited the vehicle, two suspects were waiting on him.

Witnesses told deputies that gunshots were heard and the victim fell to the ground.

While investigating, detectives found several empty 9mm rounds and a medicine bottle of suspected marijuana on the ground at the scene. But witnesses were unable to identify the suspects.

During the investigation, detectives learned the victim asked the witnesses for a ride to meet one of the suspects, identified as a 14-year-old juvenile. Upon meeting with the suspect, the victim told deputies that he was shot multiple times outside the vehicle.

After speaking with the victim, detectives found that the 14-year-old and his associates were attempting to get money owed from the victim prior to this incident.

Through a Crimestoppers tip, deputies were able to locate the 14-year-old and the two other suspects, identified as a 13 and 14-year-old juveniles.

Deputies say the 14-year-old accused shooter had met up with them on the night of the incident with a gun in his waistband.

The three made plans to buy drugs from the victim on Natural Wells Drive. Once the victim arrived, the 14-year-old shot the victim multiple times.

Authorities say all three took part in the planning of the shooting.

The 9mm handgun along with ammunition matching the rounds found at the scene were also located and seized. In addition, deputies say the seized handgun had been previously reported stolen to the Tallahassee Police Department.

All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center on attempted murder charges.

After further investigation, the State Attorney's Office ordered that one of the suspects, 14-year-old Ian Reynolds be transferred into the Leon County Detention Facility.

As of Friday, Reynolds is being held in the Leon County Jail on charges of attempted first degree murder and grand theft of a firearm

At this time, ABC 27 is choosing not to identify the other juvenile suspects.
