(WTXL)` — The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for several counties in the Big Bend and South Georgia.
The advisory will be in effect until 11 a.m. on Friday. The counties impacted in the Big Bend include Leon, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Wakulla, Madison, Taylor, and Jackson.
In South Georgia the counties include Valdosta, Thomas, Grady and Colquitt.
There will be hazardous driving conditions due to the low visibility.
Meteorologists say visibility will be less than 1/4 mile but may vary at each location.
When driving Friday morning, officials are urging everyone to remain at slow speed, use your headlights and leave plenty distance ahead of you.
They are also urging drivers to leave extra time for your morning commute and to use extreme caution while traveling.
