DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — The start date for students in Decatur County has been delayed one week from Wednesday, August 5 to Wednesday, August 12.
According to a statement released by Decatur County Schools, this extra time will allow schools to reschedule and assign resources to cover their Remote Learning students.
Decatur County Schools says staff will still report as planned on July 27.
An updated re-opening plan will be posted on the school's website and social media pages at the beginning of next week. The update will include more details on open houses and general school mitigation measures.
Enrollment for Remote Learning ends Sunday, July 19 at midnight.
