DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. — Rising from the ashes. A beloved neighborhood auto parts store in Bainbridge reopens after a devastating fire.

Decatur Auto Parts was declared a total loss in July when it burned to the ground.

A fixture in the community for over 25 years, long time customers, the owner and employees were heartbroken and in disbelief as they watched the building fall apart.

Fast forward, three months later and the shop has relocated to 1038 Southwest Street, formerly Henderson's Grocery Store.

Management says they were able to get through those tough times, thanks to the community's support.

"I just want to thank everyone that stuck with us while we were out. We were still delivering parts to places like Quincy three times a day," said Jason Davis, Assistant Manager at Decatur Auto Parts. "I just want to thank everyone who stuck with us. All our customers."

Bainbridge Public Safety says the store will be at that location for the next year until more decisions are made about rebuilding.
