COTTONDALE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal pedestrian crash on U.S. 90 in Cottondale.
According to troopers, it happened on U.S. 90 at between Sapp Road and Cumbaa Road around 6:28 a.m. ET on Thursday.
They say a 52-year-old man got out of his stopped car for an unknown reason and stepped out into the road. While he was standing in the road, another driver hit him.
After hitting the man, the driver stopped and called 9-1-1. The victim was killed in the crash.
FHP has not identified the man who was killed.
