TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Parents of Leon County Schools students have a decision coming up for the next nine-week educational period: virtual school or in-person learning.

The Leon County School Board reminded parents Tuesday that they have until Dec. 18 to make their choice for in-person or virtual learning for the third nine-week period of the school year.

No action is needed if a parent is staying with their child’s current educational plan, and this is only for those who would like to switch, according to the email.

Whatever the choice by parents, the school board says there are a few things that may change based on the decision such as student schedules, teacher assignments, lunch periods and class size.

The new educational plan will start along with the third nine weeks on Jan. 20, 2021.
