QUINCY, Fla. — The re-building process has finally begun after a fire ripped through Faith Heritage Church in Quincy, burning it to the ground.

On Monday, crews were out cleaning up the debris to re-build the building. The first took place back in January.

An electrical problem caused the church to catch fire. The only thing left untouched by the flames was a cross.

No one was hurt from the incident. Despite everything that happened, the pastor of the church is hopeful for the new start.

"God was not taken by surprise by the destruction and fire. He knew before he formed this world that this was going to happen on Jan. 2 2019 at 3:30 in the morning," said Paul Ladd, Pastor of Faith Heritage Church. "He also know what he had a better plan for this church."

The construction is expected to take a couple months.
