MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A credit card skimming device has been discovered on gas pimp at the Yellow Pine Pit Stop on U.S. Highway 90 in Madison.
The Madison County Sheriff's office says that on Wednesday around 5 p.m., deputies were called to the Yellow Pine Pit Stop gas station at 1407 East US Highway 90 for a report about a card skimming device.
When deputies arrived, the clerk said that a fuel pump technician was conducting routine pump maintenance on the fuel pumps when he found a card skimming device installed on pump three.
MCSO says they don't know how long the skimming device had been installed on the fuel pump. All the other fuel pumps at the station were checked and no other devices were found nor did any other pumps show signs of tampering.
