THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — The City of Thomasville and Keep Georgia Beautiful have teamed up to help recycle live Christmas trees Saturday during the annual Bring One for the Chipper event.

All accepted trees will be converted to mulch for playgrounds, homes, and city landscaping projects.

Trees can be dropped off at the recycling center by noon Saturday to ensure they are recycled properly.

"Trees collected during the chipper event will be mulch, converted into mulch which can be used for homeowners, residential, landscaping use and erosion control," said Julie Murphree, Executive Director.

Remington Avenue between Thomas County EMS and the Butler Mason YMCA will have chipper on hand to mulch trees.

You are urged to not dispose of your Christmas trees by putting them on the curb.
