TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — City of Tallahassee commissioners met on Wednesday for a workshop at the Goodwood Museum.

The workshop discussion revolved around their five-year strategic plan for the development of the Tallahassee community.

The goals for this plan include improving on the city's public safety, quality of life, infrastructure, and economic development. Mayor John Dailey discussed his excitement for the economic growth and development of Tallahassee.

"I think the City of Tallahassee has a tremendous opportunity to move the community forward by aggressively recruiting new businesses to our community," said Dailey. "It provides greater for the citizens, it adds to the fabric of the community and I thought that you just saw the city commission jump all over it. We're on the same page and ready to move forward."

The first draft of this strategic plan is scheduled to be ready for review in October of this year.
