TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The faith community is stepping up in Tallahassee as protests continue right in our back yards.
Faith Life Church started a petition with a mission to improve policing in Leon County.
"Our community is begging for change at this point and they want to see that transparency, and that accountability with their law enforcement at this time," said Kristina Miller with Faith Life Justice Ministry.
Once they reach their goal of 10,000 signatures, their pastor, Darius Washington, will bring their recommendations before the city.
They are also hoping to hold a town hall where people can ask questions of both the Tallahassee Police Department and the Leon County Sheriffs Office.
