Chiles teen joins Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Macey Hartman is making history as one of the first female Eagle Scouts in the nation and the first female Eagle Scout from the Suwannee River Area Council.

Tallahassee's Mayor John Dailey announced her accomplishment on Twitter Wednesday, saying:

"Today we were led in the Pledge of Allegiance by Macey Hartman, the first female Eagle Scout from the Suwannee River Area Council. Congratulations, Macey! You are a trailblazer and you make us all truly #TallahasseeProud."

Hartman will join thousands of other young ladies in the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts on Scouting’s 111th birthday, on February 8, 2021.
