GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — July 4th festivities are taking place in Gadsden County.

Chattahoochee is celebrating everything that they've overcome since Hurricane Micheal with their Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.

People from all over can enjoy plenty of food, music, and of course the fireworks show Thursday evening.

Mayor Ann Williams says its a wonderful day to celebrate with the community.

"It's the whole world time to celebrate, but we are celebrating because we just come over a big hurdle with Michael getting things back in order and we are excited about it," said Williams. "So come down and join us, we are having a marvelous time, can you see what I have in my hand? We've got that and much more."

Williams says the fireworks are expected to go off around 9:15 p.m.
