TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Everyone around the city is getting excited for the Springtime Tallahassee Parade, including former Florida State University football player Charlie Ward.

He's a former Florida State quarterback Heisman Trophy winner, national champion, former NBA player, and now, he's this year's Grand Marshal.

"I don't know how I got, how my name got chosen, but I'm glad I get to team up with Kez McCorvey again, this time we won't be throwing balls at one another, or I won't be throwing to him on the field, but I'm honored to have the opportunity to be part of Springtime Tallahassee," said Ward.

The parade kicks off Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
