TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State University President Emeritus Talbot "Sandy" D'Alemberte will be remembered during a Celebration of Life Wednesday.
It'll be held at 2 p.m. at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.
Concert Hall doors will open at 1 p.m. and the Wescott Lobby will be open to the public before the service. StarMetro will run an air-conditioned bus service from the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center Parking Lot and the Turnbull Center garage to Wescott.
That service will run between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
"It's a 100 degrees outside right now and for folks to walk 3 or 4 blocks up the hill and 3 or 4 blocks down the hill, it would be an imposition on a lot of people," said Rocky Bevis, the president of the Bevis Funeral Home. "It certainly is inviting for those folks that might think they're a little too elderly."
More parking will be available in the Wescott lots on Copeland Street and College Avenue and at the Kappa Delta Lot on Copeland Street.
