TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Hundreds of cars lined up in the parking lot of the old Winn-Dixie on Paul Russell Road to get meals from a farm share.

Cars were wrapped around the parking lot as they made their way through the line to pick up some much needed food items.

Dr. Albert Chester says the distribution was through a 501-3-C farm share. Chester and his fellow volunteers say they know how important it is to feed people right now.

"In a situation that we're in right now as a nation, as a state, as a city, and as a healthcare provider, I know people are in need," said Chester. "People are searching for answers, people are searching for solutions, and people need help. In a time like this, what better way to show that you care and to give people something that they need."

Chester says they had enough to feed 150 families.
