TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — CareerSource Capital Region is rebounding from the pandemic and helping to put people back to work.

Now, they're receiving a bit of boost to do just that.

Career Source is the recipient of a $210,000 grant specifically allocated to help employers cover salaries for jobs related to COVID19 recovery.

"We are currently looking and working with employers in the for-profit and nonprofit and government sector to fill the positions," said Kara Palmer Smith of Career Source Capital Region. "It can be any work that relates to or have a direct focus on COVID-19 recovery efforts. So humanitarian aid cleanup recovery, that's the type of work that folks will be doing."

The grant will cover up to 670 hours of work.

Employers who wish to receive aid can join a Career Source teleconference Thursday at 1:15 p.m.
