(WTXL) — The regional unemployment rate for Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties was 7.1 percent for June 2020, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
FDEO says the region’s June 2020 unemployment rate was 3.6 percent higher than the region’s year ago rate of 3.5 percent and was 3.6 percentage points lower than the state’s June 2020 rate of 10.7 percent.
Wakulla County’s unemployment rate is the lowest in the Capital Region at 5.9 percent.
Leon County was at 7.2 percent. Gadsden County followed at 7.6 percent.
In addition, there were a total of 12,348 unemployed residents in the Capital Region last month.
