TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man has been arrested after police say he flew 30 pounds of marijuana from California to Tallahassee.

According to a press release, on Thursday morning, 24-year-old Brailom Malik Miles, a suspect in a previous drug trafficking investigation in another state, arrived at the Tallahassee International Airport with two checked bags.

An open-air sniff by Leon County Sheriff's Office K-9 Deputy Skelton noticed the presence of illegal drugs.

After obtaining a search warrant, police searched his luggage and found that Miles had approximately 30 pounds of cannabis. He was taken to the Leon County Jail without incident.

He is facing charges for trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Drug Interdiction Unit was assisted by Homeland Security, TPD Airport Officers, and LCSO.
