TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Since 1978, Brehon Family Services have provided assistance to thousands of families in the Big Bend area.

To help continue the assistance, Brehon's Boots for Babies fundraiser is happening Thursday night. WTXL's own Abbey Maurer is the emcee at Shilo Farms.

The event at Shiloh Farms is all about fun to benefit families. It's also to promote Brehon's child abuse prevention services.

Jackie Malone, the executive director of Brehon, spoke more about the event.

Thursday night's event includes a silent auction, live music by local band "Deja Blue," a catered buffet, a cash bar, and a bonfire.

It runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday night at Shiloh Farms.
