TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Thursday, the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce and the BBMC's Women's Business Council celebrated Women's Business Month and heard from a special guest.
Cheryl McKissack Daniel is the CEO of McKissack Group, Inc. That's the oldest minority-owned professional design and construction firm in the United States.
It's been a family owned business for more than 100 years. McKissack has been a leader in planning, design, and construction of more than 6,000 projects.
"Well first of all I hope that I inspire them to let them know that number one it starts within, if you can conceive it you can actually do it the brain is powerful," said McKissack.
