BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Jason Kenneth Jones, who is wanted for a fatal shooting in Fountain, has been taken into custody.
The Liberty County Sheriff's office made the announcement on Facebook just before 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
They say Jones was wanted for shooting two women in Fountain Wednesday evening. One died at the scene while the other was hospitalized for non life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are searching for Jason Kenneth Jones, who is wanted for a fatal shooting in Fountain Wednesday night.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Jason Kenneth Jones.
They say Jones is wanted for shooting two women in Fountain Wednesday evening. One died at the scene while the other was hospitalized for non life-threatening injuries.
After the shooting, Jones left the area, sparking a two-day search for him. At first, he was believed to be in the Blountstown area, but police suspended the city-wide search at 4:13 p.m. on Thursday.
"Our office received information from a business where a male fitting the wanted subject’s description had been seen," the Blountstown Police Department wrote on Facebook. "After a search of the surrounding areas it is believed that this was not the suspected shooter."
However, Bay County deputies are still looking for Jones and believe him to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Jones is encouraged to called the BCSO at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 record for information leading to an arrest.
