AROUND TOWN: A look at events happening in and around town this weekend

(WTXL) — There are several events taking place this weekend to help you get into the holiday spirit.

Here's a list:

South City Community Health Expo & Pop Up Pancake Breakfast:
Event will take place from Saturday, December 12 between 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SCF Partnership Office at the Greater Love Church, 524 Orange Ave, Tallahassee, FL 32301.

Christmas in Carabelle:
This event is a boat parade and music festival scheduled for Saturday, December 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Carrabelle Riverfront.

Second Saturday:
Come SIP, SHOP, & STROLL through Downtown Bainbridge every second Saturday for great deals. Stores open til 7 p.m.

Lights Along the River Drive Through Lights Display
This event takes place each night in December at the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge starting at 7 p.m. each night.

The First Christmas: : A Drive-Thru Event for Children & Families
This event will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 11-13, Faith Presbyterian, 2200 N. Meridian Road, Tallahassee. The COVID-safe experience will allow families to remain in the warmth and safety of their own vehicles as they experience the story of the first Christmas.

An Open-Air Christmas:
First Baptist Church of Tallahassee is hosting two sessions of “An Open-Air Christmas:” 2-4 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Both will include a musical performance and a 15-person nativity complete with LIVE animals, a free Christmas Llama photo booth, hot cider and cookies, and a chance to give of our abundance to those in need.

The Jazz Nutcracker:
This performance is set to the big band jazz sounds of Duke Ellington and David Berger’s vision of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, watch Clara’s imagination take flight as she visits the best 40s style holiday party any young girl could ever dream of. There are two showings in both Bainbridge and Tallahassee this weekend.
