TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Have you ever imagine yourself as a Sheriff's deputy?
If you or someone you know have this dream, here's your chance!
Applications are now open for the Leon County Citizens Academy.
This is your chance to do exciting things like ride along with a deputy go to a SWAT demonstration and shoot some of the high powered weapons officers use.
The meetings are once a week, for 10 weeks.
If you are interested you have until January 20 to submit your application on The Leon County's Sheriff's Office website.
You also must be 18 years old and pass the background check.
The names will be selected by lottery for the 30 positions.
