TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare confirmed on Friday that nine of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus since June 27.

TMH spokesperson Morgan King said the following in a statement to ABC 27:

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) places the utmost priority on the safety of our colleagues, patients and visitors. Before every shift, colleagues must undergo a health screening and confirm they do not have any symptoms before arriving to work. If a colleague is experiencing symptoms, they are immediately directed to our remote colleague health process and tested for COVID-19. Through this process, there have been nine confirmed positives across our network of facilities and outlying practices since June 27. While the number of positive cases within our city and state continue to rise, our team is vigilantly monitoring our staff to ensure the wellbeing of all is our primary focus.
